The Pleasure

And the pain

I’m in the know about the flow.
That emanates from love.
And that familiar is comfortable.
As two hands in a glove

I walk beside my shadow.
We know each other well.
I take myself to places.
Where I wish to dwell

Even when I’m far away
I have a sense.
Connection with my anima
It is my best defence.

I find solace in the certainty.
I’m familiar with the ways.
I go about my business.
And I spend my days.

I find satisfaction
With friends and family
It all seems so familiar.
So much like reality.

You and I find pleasure.
In old familiar places
And the reminiscing
Of fields of friendly faces.

We think back then, reconstruct
The pleasure and the pain
Comfort in the customary
The solar wind and the rain.
