The Waters

Sweet caress.

Sunrise before my morning swim. Image by Author.

With you, I float weightlessly.
In the sea in ecstasy
The waters sweet caress
A part of perfect chemistry.

Gulls floating effortlessly
In the soft sea breeze
Precious seconds hover
Life’s magical reprise.

Effortless swimming rhythm
In current smooth and strong
Joy as my cup is brimming
For your sweet caress, I long.

She is part of nature’s mystery.
I have only seen when in your hold.
Endless tales and history
You hold within your fold.

Transport me in your strong arms
To places in my dreams
With your endless power
Where sparkling beauty streams.

Where fish swim in your waters
Boats cross your silvery waves
And Orion’s sons and daughters
Hide in your mercurial mystery craves.

Your water’s my salvation.
Mesmerised, I float and swim.
The absolute revelation
A swim took me on a whim.

The world is an open chapter.
When you caress my skin
You and I together
Are my next of kin
