Transient
City Life
Bustle shuffle
Push and shove
Dust, dirt and grime
Transient love.
Clammy corners
Squishing doors
Sweat stained shirts
And painted claws.
City life
Abstract faces
Trouble and strife
Shoes with laces.
Glassy towers
Flashing signs
Pinstripe and braces
Queue in lines.
Identity lost
Automatons
Pay the cost
To Mafia dons.
Immersed embossed
A quicksand city
Gone never found
More is the pity.
Alleys between the throng
Spilt rubbish and art
City life and the strife
I feel my stuttering heart
