We Blend

Into our surroundings

We ease into each other’s shoes.
And need to find out the difference.
The shades of subtlety in the sands
We are the essence of our presence.

We blend into our surroundings.
And filter through the trees and sea.
A thread of sunshine seeking solace
Hand in hand, peeping to see.

Each captured a magic moment.
The nuances and changes rarely seen
Arm in arm, we walk into the open air.
Our senses absorb the scene.

Blown by the soft sea breeze
Airborne, we drift along the way.
The route that our love takes us
Leads us to another day.

Unspoken words personify
Our subtle way of understanding
What we know and what we want
Glide to an easy landing.

Acquiescence bonds our hearts and minds
As we travel down life’s open highways
Through forest glades, shades and light
I was meandering off on obscure byways.

Our journey started yesterday.
And will not be over in the morrow.
We’re destined to walk each path we take
And soak up joys and lessen sorrow.

Never again will we be alone
Our pact is our affinity.
I am yours, and you are mine.
From now until infinity.
