We Share
The air.
We share the air and the care,
We have for one another,
Crisp and clear, when you are near,
My heart is with no other.
The air is soft, smooth, and sweet,
Cool currents from the ocean,
Beautiful and oh-so neat,
A balm and silver lotion.
The sea we see sets us free,
The dancing diamonds too,
A true path to liberty,
Being me and you.
In the sky clouds float by,
I lie and watch them form,
In shapes that take my breath away,
Some bank and others storm.
From a late day in November,
The day’s dance by till now,
And design a destination,
The why’s the where and how.
I see you when it’s crisp and clear,
In cloudy weather too,
In my heart, you are so dear,
The feelings fall on cue.
In between the now and then,
The present lingers on,
Vehicles and voices,
The dreaming short and long.
I feel you in the morning breeze,
You open on sunrise,
You whisper in the trees,
My love, you’re my surprise.
