When Less is More

A walk down by the shore

I wile away the moments
take a walk down by the shore
and enjoy the feeling of
when less is more.

I breathe in the salty air
and let my trapped mind wander
and drink in the magic
far into the blue yonder.

The magic winter sunshine
seeps through the casuarinas
the shades of opaque waters
dappled mystical marinas.

Paths wend through the glades
kissed by the golden shine
freesias bud in the lush green grass
fragrant intricate design.

The air is clear and sweet
and magnifies the vista
speckled by the dappled light
from natures cask that kiss her.

The light and shade a tapestry
of intricate embroidered patterns
the stately crane stands stock-still
backlit by sunbeam lanterns.

My mind is smoothed and satiated
by the mottled and marbled scene
transported to a place of peace
carried on a spectral dream.

The sanctuary of the winding shore
in mottled opulent grace
the variegated dappled light
intricately designed like silken lace.
