Why does it feel as if not a bite has managed,
managed to reach the stomach, the throat, so dry, for ages,
my mouth searching for the saliva that refuses to be consumed,
I keep kicking myself virtually, as to why, why could I not
utter a single word, although there was so much to say,
so much rolling in my vocal chord, trying to burst out from the heart,
from the gurgling of the stomach,
but alas.
